Renowned comedian Kevin Hart has found himself confined to a wheelchair after engaging in what he humorously describes as an attempt to "revisit his youth." In a lighthearted bid, Hart dared his friend and former NFL running back, Stevan Ridley, to a race, and the results were both comical and cautionary.
In a candid Instagram video shared on Wednesday, Hart openly admitted, "I might just be the most foolish man alive." With a dash of self-deprecating humor, he acknowledged the reality of reaching the milestone age of 40 and beyond. "For all the gentlemen and ladies out there who've crossed the 40-year threshold, heed my words — it's not a mere game. Give that age the respect it deserves, or be prepared to earn that respect the hard way."
Recounting the sequence of events, Hart revealed, "Steven and I found ourselves embroiled in a friendly debate, one centered on determining the faster runner between us." The debate escalated into a friendly wager involving a 40-yard sprint, a decision Hart now humorously laments.
The aftermath of the showdown proved less than victorious for the 44-year-old Hart, as he candidly shared that he sustained injuries during the sprint against the 34-year-old former New England Patriots player. With a touch of jest, Hart revealed that he managed to strain his lower abdomen and abductors — an intricate group of hip muscles. He quipped, "I'm not even entirely sure what those muscles are, but trust me, I managed to strain them. All of them. I'm currently experiencing a severe case of 'I can't walk.'"
