Bow Wow and B2K Release NYC Promo Tour Visual | Atlanta Wave TV News
Bow Wow and B2K are officially two weeks away from the start of their upcoming Boys 4 Life tour.
The tour is expected to touch down in more than 20 cities across the country, starting on March 4th at its first stop in Louisville Kentucky. It will then traverse from state to state before its final destination in Hampton, Virginia on April 19th, 2026. Tickets have been on sale at least since November of last year, to much fanfare as loyalists reminisce about the Millennium Tour and the days of B2K's 'Uh Huh'. But fans are also in for a surprise as the likes of Crime Mob, Jeremih, Waka Flocka, Amerie, Yung Joc, Dem Franchize Boys, and Pretty Ricky are all expected to grace the stage. Atlanta, GA (June 18, 2025) - With all the robust energy, excitement, and flavor you've come to expect from the cultural movement known as OYE Fest, organizers are excited to announce details for this year's event, taking place on October 04 in the heart of the city at Mercedes-Benz Stadium's most well-known pre-game tailgating spot- 'Lot 432.' Featuring top-level production across multiple stages, the lineup will showcase a full spectrum of Latinx performers, including local, regional, and emerging talent. Returning to its indie-based urban roots that began in 2018, headliners for OYE Fest 2025 include Puerto Rican rapper Álvaro Diaz; reggaeton duo Alexis y Fido returning to Atlanta for the first time in ten years; Mexican-American singer, rapper, and activist Snow tha Product; street sweeper turned TikTok phenom musician Macario Martinez and Latin GRAMMY-winning sensation pablopablo.
By intentionally curating a platform for local and emerging Latinx artists, encouraging community cohesion and cultural pride- De Atlanta Pa’ Atlanta, OYE Fest has further expanded its lineup to reflect this inclusivity, with such artists as Grupo Rye; Calderoky; Uriel U.M.C.; DJ EU; Lilly Yan; Butch Vega; Felicita; B.Bruja; Jui; Dzuan Fresh; Rob Session; Montsy; Lizion; Eduardo Franco; Venez; Maria Ferreira; El Colmillo; El Cézar; Markez; Johnny Juelz; Gente de Noche; Ruthless Geo; DJ Noise, and Julio Van Bustos. Luis Trevino and Julio Angel will host the one-day event.
Curated by co-founders Randall Ruiz and Margarita Rios, OYE Fest is more than just a music festival, blending music with art, culture, and progressive activism to provide representation and pride for Latinx creatives. Passionate about supporting causes vital to the Latin community, the festival gives immigrant advocacy efforts, such as DACA and organizations like United We Dream, a platform to be heard by a wider audience. It builds environments that are welcoming, inclusive, and safe for all — particularly emphasizing the voices of Afro-Latinx, queer, and women-identifying individuals. Rapper Silentó Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Voluntary Manslaughter
Atlanta, GA – Ricky Hawk, the 27-year-old rapper professionally known as Silentó, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty but mentally ill to voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, and other charges stemming from a fatal 2021 shooting. The sentencing took place following his plea in DeKalb County Superior Court.
The Investigation
The tragic incident occurred in the early morning hours of January 21, 2021. DeKalb County Police responded to a report of a shooting at a residence off Deep Shoals Circle and Corners Crossing. Upon arrival, authorities discovered 34-year-old Frederick Rooks III suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neighbors reported hearing gunshots, and surveillance footage from a nearby home captured a white BMW SUV fleeing the area shortly after the shots were fired. A family member of the victim later informed police that Rooks was last seen with Silentó, who had picked him up in a white SUV from a friend's home.
Investigators initially lacked a suspect but later identified Hawk as the alleged gunman. Upon his arrest, prosecutors stated that Silentó admitted to shooting Rooks. Furthermore, bullet casings recovered from the scene reportedly matched a firearm found on the rapper at the time of his apprehension.
Mental Health Concerns and Public Appeal
Following Silentó's arrest, his PR manager, Chanel Hudson, issued a public statement addressing his mental health. "Please send my client Silentó some positive vibrations," the statement read. "Over the past several years, Ricky has been suffering immensely from a series of mental health illnesses. We will continue in his efforts of treatment, but we ask in the meantime the public uplift him and his family in immediate prayer and positive energy!! Ricky is a beautiful soul, and we hope that the same people who came up whipping’ & nay nay-in with him, continue to support him and lifted in prayer!! God bless."
A Look Back at Silentó's Career and Past Incidents
Silentó rose to global fame in 2015 at just 17 years old with his viral hit "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)." The song became a social media phenomenon, charting worldwide and reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. He went on to be featured on several tracks before releasing his first full-length album, "Fresh Outta High School," in 2019.
However, prior to the 2021 shooting, Hawk had faced other legal troubles. In 2020, he was arrested in DeKalb County for allegedly driving 143 mph on Interstate 85. The same year, he was also charged in Los Angeles with attempting to assault two individuals with a hatchet in their home.
The Path Forward
Silentó had remained in custody at the DeKalb County Jail since his arrest. With his recent plea and sentencing, the legal proceedings in this case have concluded.

On a sunny afternoon along the bustling Atlanta BeltLine, I caught up with Sorline, a Brooklyn native who’s traded the fast-paced streets of New York for the southern charm of Atlanta. Pedaling through the city on her bike—her first ride on the BeltLine—Sorline shared a moment of reflection, adventure, and growth.
It’s been three years since she made the move, and while she admits Atlanta didn’t immediately feel like home, the city is finally winning her heart. “It took a while,” she says with a laugh, “but now I’m really starting to love it.”

Khaotic Confirms Exit from Love & Hip Hop Franchise: “It Hurt Me, But I’m Moving On”
Former Love & Hip Hop cast member Khaotic is setting the record straight with fans after revealing he’s officially been let go from the hit reality TV franchise, not just from the Atlanta edition, but the entire Love & Hip Hop universe.
In a candid YouTube video, the artist and entertainer opened up about the unexpected news, initially believing his removal was tied solely to the Atlanta series. He speculated that the change might have stemmed from past drama, including a fallout with fellow cast member Scrappy. But when he reached out to return to Love & Hip Hop: Miami, the answer was the same: he was no longer part of the franchise at all.
“It hurt me,” Khaotic admitted. “I really enjoyed being on the show. I loved entertaining y’all.”
He didn’t hold back when reflecting on the broader cast shake-ups. Khaotic pointed to other familiar faces who are no longer with the show — including Shekinah, Safaree, and Erica Mena — and suggested that the franchise has a history of phasing out personalities who no longer fit the producers’ vision.
Still, the Atlanta native isn’t dwelling on the loss. Khaotic says he’s in good spirits, both mentally and financially. He revealed he hasn’t even touched the money he earned from his time on Love & Hip Hop. Instead, he’s focused on what’s next and staying grounded as he pivots to new opportunities.
“I’m blessed. I ain’t hurting,” he said.
As for personal growth, Khaotic also shared that he and former co-star Shekinah have mended fences. The two plan to drop a new video together soon on her YouTube channel — a collaboration fans of the duo won’t want to miss.
Though his time with Love & Hip Hop may be over, Khaotic is making it clear: he’s still in the game, still creating, and still on his grind.
