Karew Entertainment proudly announces that it has been honored with a total of four nominations at this year’s biggest night in gospel music, the prestigious Stellar Awards. As a result of Karen Clark Sheard’s critically acclaimed album Still Karen, Sheard has been nominated for “Albertina Walker Female Artist of the Year”, “Contemporary Album of the Year” and “Music Packaging of the Year”. The album’s Co-Executive Producer J. Drew Sheard II, was also nominated for “Producer of the Year” on the same project. The winners will be announced at the upcoming award ceremony in Nashville on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

The Grammy and NAACP Image Award-nominated album, Still Karen, is Sheard’s sixth solo album and combines the sounds from producers Anthony Brown, J Moss and co-Executive producers Pharrell Williams and J. Drew Sheard II. The album’s leading single, “Send it Down” spent two weeks at #1 on Billboard and MediaBase and the second single, “Completely Yours” has just entered Top 30 with the expectation to head to the top of the chart as well. The music from the album has received an overwhelmingly positive response and has been referred to by many as “a no skip album”. During last year’s Stellar Awards ceremony Sheard rendered a special performance of “Yes” and later joined by her Grammy-nominated daughter Kierra Sheard for a performance of “Look at Me” both of which are also on the album.

When asked about the album’s success and four Stellar nominations Sheard II says, “I’m truly thankful for the overwhelmingly positive feedback we’ve received from this album. It was truly a passion project for me and KCS to pull a lot of the elements from her iconic record Finally Karen and put a spin on it that speaks to today. Now to receive four nominations from the Stellar Awards is truly a blessing that I don’t take lightly and I pray that it causes those who haven’t heard it to listen and be blessed by it as well.” When asked about his nomination as “Producer of the Year” he says, “Wow, to be nominated in a category among so many other great producers is truly an honor for me. I’ve been producing for many years and to be chosen to be recognized in a category with them is truly amazing and I will forever cherish this moment."

On a sunny afternoon along the bustling Atlanta BeltLine, I caught up with Sorline, a Brooklyn native who’s traded the fast-paced streets of New York for the southern charm of Atlanta. Pedaling through the city on her bike—her first ride on the BeltLine—Sorline shared a moment of reflection, adventure, and growth.

Kamala to Meet Quavo in Atlanta

Kamala's second stop will be at the Rocket Foundation Summit. The foundation was founded by Quavo in 2022 with the goal to honor the life and legacy of Takeoff and put an end to gun violence in America. According to the organizations website, they "uplift and invest in interventions that effectively reduce community violence so communities can thrive." The Rocket Foundation champions a program that offers micro grants to organizations focused on advocacy, research, and/or delivery services. The winner(s) for this grant will be announced on the day that Kamala Harris is expected to attend. 

Victoria Monèt just broke the internet with the release of her new music video for 'Alright'. The song is a single that appears on her latest album Jaguar II released in August 2023. The video, which dropped 9 months after the official visualizer, has already surpassed its viewership with 1M+ views and is at the #7 spot for trending music on YouTube as of the time of this post. Actor Will Smith surprised fans after taking off a mask and revealing his face in the hallway of a movie theater in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles. A crowd is seen in shock and awe upon realizing that the man engaging with them the hallways was indeed Smith, one of two men they probably came to see on the big screen that day. Many fans and industry pundits had Will Smith written off following the infamous Chris Rock assault which took place during the 94th Academy Awards on March 27th in 2022. However, following the release of this latest film, media has taken a different tone, claiming that Smith's spot as a top act has returned. His acting skills are undeniable - so, it's no surprise that he would receive much deserved recognition for all of his hard work and talent. Despite the caliber of acting, Will is human after all. But it is good to see that society is able, even if briefly, to sort out its personal differences in light of the production of a top notch film starring a top notch actor.

The Twitter verse continues ablaze following the historic rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Then, came the memes and screenshots to accompany a myriad of conspiracies that are currently floating around. And now, this.

With the release of Kendrick's diss track 'Meet the grahams' which reads like a collection of letters written to each of Drake's parents, his son, and an alleged mystery child never publicly acknowledged by Drake, some have become worried amidst another startling claim made by Kendrick - Drake is a pedophile. 

These claims sparked conversation across the entire social media landscape with mixed reactions - some in utter disbelief and others in shock. The video below, however, is  parody that shows what Drake's PR team might be saying to Drake following these allegation and his lighthearted response.
